The Mooks

Formed in the winter of 2008, The Mooks is a brotherhood of seventeen burly men that use their personality, choreography, and humor to fully stimulate and entertain their audience. They started practicing nomadically in basements before finding their home studio, deemed Mookination, at Rutgers University – Newark.

The Mooks strive on uniting the dance community by having members from different teams including UFP, Project D, and Rhythmology, as well as Alumni from Hip Hop Theory, FR3SH Dance Company, and FR3SH Juniors. They’ve performed all over the East Coast including New Jersey, New York, and Boston. They also performed internationally for their first time at The Beat Down in Toronto, Canada this past summer.

Their main goal on stage is to create a loving and fun experience for both the audience and themselves.

Lastly, The Mooks focus on showing the audience not only what they dance like, but who they truly are.
